The very basic stuff you need is a big mixing bowl, a kitchen scale, a silicone spatula or a spoon for mixing, a couple of loaf pans, and either a razor blade or kitchen scissors.
Technically you do not need to score it, however if you don't when the dough expands as the curst forms it will need to release pressure somehow. Your scoring will create a weak point and encourage your loaf to split and expand there. Without it your loaf will burst wherever it can escape. As you make more loaves you can get creative and start cutting intricate designs, making your loaves works of art!
