About Us

Simple Beginnings

We started with a simple 5ft x 10ft garden in 2018 and we moved the garden 3 times, making it bigger and bigger. By 2022, our little 2.5 acre lot held a 2000sqft garden and was home to 18 chickens. In 2023 we made huge strides in canning our garden, grew out flock to a whopping 40 chickens and 15 ducks, upgraded our chicken main chicken run to 600sqft, and raised our own meat chickens. We hope to keep expanding in 2024 to be able to share with our community!

Supporting ourselves & our community

We noticed we were more likely to eat the fruits and vegetables that we grew in our garden before they spoiled. That was ultimately the pebble that causes the landslide. Shortly after we purchased beef directly from a local rancher and now we can't go back. Our goal is limit our reliance commercial products and to support individuals in our Community, especially those with similar goals

Animals & Gardening

Our main focuses are gardening and poultry which support each other! Our garden provides us with plenty of snacks for our flock and in turn our birds provide unlimited fertilizer. We practice the deep litter method for our coops in the winter which provides us with a large amount of  bedding for our compost pile. This spring we will move all of last years bedding into our garden and start a new pile with this winters bedding!  This allows us to avoid potentially chemical ridden fertilizers from big corporations.
